I had the best iftar dinner with Dr. AlHanouf and her four beautiful daughters, her mother, her friend Ms AlHanouf (same name) and two other wonderful guests last night. Dr Al Hanouf is an amazing host who kindly arranged the gathering in different rooms for us, showing us her family antiques collection, explaining their history, introducing us the Najd dishes and food in details. Her house is tastefully decorated with lots of comfort and space while the full bloom of red Bougainvillea by the main door is just spectacular. It was such a lovely evening and I really enjoyed our discussion, culture exchange and sharing my views on Saudi Arabia and Saudi women. At the end Dr AlHanouf kindly gave me a traditional Saudi gift set which include dates, Saudi coffee and a cute golden Saudi dallah in a handmade basket. That is so sweet of her and her family. Truly I can feel the generous, warm hospitality of Saudi Arabia and her people. They are good hosts, they welcome visitors and they are proud to show you their culture and heritage. This is something you cannot learn at school or read in books. Come to Saudi Arabia and sign up a family visit with HiHome. Feel it by yourself !
