What you will do

You are warmly invited to experience a true taste of Saudi culture at the home of Dr. Hanouf. The visit begins with a traditional welcome, offering you freshly brewed Arabic coffee accompanied by an array of the finest dates, each rich in flavor and heritage. Following this, you will be served a delicious traditional Najdi meal, carefully prepared to showcase the authentic culinary traditions of the Najd region. The meal will be completed with a delightful Najdi dessert, adding a sweet touch to the experience. Guests will also have the unique opportunity to try on the "Nashel Thoub," a traditional garment from the Najd region, perfect for capturing beautiful, memorable photos in a cultural setting. During the visit, we will engage in meaningful cultural exchange, where you are welcome to share insights and discuss various aspects of our cultures, in either English or German, making the experience not only immersive but also enriching. This experience provides a unique chance to bridge cultural understanding, blending the rich traditions of Saudi Arabia with modern intercultural dialogue, all in a warm and welcoming home environment.

I am Alhanoof, Dentist and mother of three daughters, I would like to invite you to my home to try our Arabic coffee, different types of Dates and our traditional food. We can exchange our culture perceptions in English or German languages.

I had the best iftar dinner with Dr. AlHanouf and her four beautiful daughters, her mother, her friend Ms AlHanouf (same name) and two other wonderful guests last night. Dr Al Hanouf is an amazing host who kindly arranged the gathering in different rooms for us, showing us her family antiques collection, explaining their history, introducing us the Najd dishes and food in details. Her house is tastefully decorated with lots of comfort and space while the full bloom of red Bougainvillea by the main door is just spectacular. It was such a lovely evening and I really enjoyed our discussion, culture exchange and sharing my views on Saudi Arabia and Saudi women. At the end Dr AlHanouf kindly gave me a traditional Saudi gift set which include dates, Saudi coffee and a cute golden Saudi dallah in a handmade basket. That is so sweet of her and her family. Truly I can feel the generous, warm hospitality of Saudi Arabia and her people. They are good hosts, they welcome visitors and they are proud to show you their culture and heritage.
